Hyperbolic Nanoparticles on Substrate with Separate Optical Scattering and Absorption Resonances: A Dual Function Platform for SERS and Thermoplasmonics

Tuning optical properties of plasmonic nanostructures, including their absorption, scattering, and local-field distribution is great interest for various applications that rely on energy regulated by effects. Conventional nanostructures enhance light scattering absorption simultaneously, leading to compromise either surface-enhanced spectroscopy or thermoplasmonic applications. In this paper, a dual functional platform based hyperbolic meta particles (HMP) substrate exhibits separate tuneable wavelengths resonances both thermoplasmonics surface enhanced Raman (SERS), demonstrated. Significantly, light-to-heat conversion efficiency at the resonance band SERS performance HMP improved in comparison those gold nanoparticles. Taking advantage flexible control channels, influence position signal also investigated. The shows unique potential vitro biosensing thermal modulation situ monitoring.
